Pictured above is the front side of a handbill that was utilized to promote the Los Angeles California radio station KLOS. Longtime friend of the band J. J. Jackson was a radio disc jockey with KLOS during the timeframe for this handbill. J. J. Jackson later went on to become one of the first five Mtv VJ’s when Mtv went on the air in in 1981. Of special note, J. J. Jackson was the individual who interviewed Robert Plant and John Paul Jones after the second Knebworth concert in August of 1979. The interview was planned to be released on a Swan Song promotional record but the project was abandoned.
The reverse side of the handbill has a brief biography on the history of the band up through and including a mention of the then latest album release “In Through The Out Door” which would date this handbill for March 1, 1980.
