The above pictured RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) Platinum record award was presented to Swan Song Records employee Shelley Kaye to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of the Led Zeppelin release “In Through The Out Door”. Shelley was a long time employee of the band. The acronym “floater” is a term designated for RIAA gold and platinum awards presented between the years 1975 through 1981. The disc and plate appear to “float” against the background. In addition, the mini LP has a white border background. This award was obtained from Rick Barrett when Shelley Kaye sold her personal items in late 2009 and early 2010.
