For Led Zeppelin’s 1980 Tour of Europe duffle bags were created to carry various items by the band and some tour personnel. The tour bags were created in a paper bag brown color with dark blue straps to go along with Led Zeppelin’s then latest release In Though The Out Door. Two sizes of duffle bags were created a smaller version and a larger version which is shown above. This particular duffle bag was utilized by Phil Carlo, who was part of the tour personnel on the tour. His initials can be seen on the reverse side of the bag
In addition, to the 1980 European tour duffle bags, a reverse color style duffle bag (dark blue / brown straps) was created in preparation for Led Zeppelin’s then upcoming 1980 North American tour. The call out on those duffle bags read “The 1980’s Part One”.
