For the release of Led Zeppelin’s final studio album In Through The Out Door promotional album covers were created, by stamping the upper right corner of some of the jackets with the words “Promotional Copy NOT FOR SALE”.  It does not appear that any of the promotional album covers were accompanied with actual copies of the album release.

One interesting fact is that the jackets seemed to have been stamped at random on either the front or the back of the sleeves.  Below is an image of the front cover of the “F” version stamped on the front and not the back as pictured in the montage shown above.
