This document provides a once rare glimpse into what happens behind the scenes of a planned concert tour. Dated January 4, 1995 this fax was sent by the Production Manager for the tour Roy Lamb. Amusing fact: Roy is incognito in the ’95 North American and tour of Japan programmes and is replaced by a drawn image of the face of a lamb.
Included in this complete twenty page fax document is the Arena Technical Rider which is broken down into numbered sections such Facility Access, the need for a Runner, Rigging, Load-in and Load-out etc. Power Requirements, Staging, Security, and Catering are all explained in the tour rider. There are also pages regarding Miller Genuine Draft’s Sponsorship of the tour, and their Media/Local Market Activities, Advertising, Ticketing, Signage placement for advertising, as well as VIP/Hospitality. Rather than show the entire document just the top of the fax is shown. Yes, the rider states what items were required to be in Jimmy and Robert’s dressing rooms, and no I won’t divulge the information. The top page is a tease. The mystery is part of the fun. 8>)
