Led Zeppelin was scheduled to play two concerts at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, but due to tragic circumstances the concerts were never performed. Pictured above is an oddity stage pass. In 1977 Led Zeppelin utilized either stick on adhesive passes or four different colored laminated passes for the SHOWCO road crew. However, this pass appears to have been created to be utilized by the local Pittsburgh stage crew.
This lanyard pass has a single hole in the top center in which a string or other material can be fed through to attach the pass to be worn such as through a belt loop on a pair of pants. There also exists a Bad Company lanyard pass in this same style for their 1976 tour. This pass is certainly a rarity due to its style and the fact the pass is for a concert of Led Zeppelin’s that never took place.
