Led Zeppelin made plans to return to North American in 1980 for the first time since 1977 to promote their then latest release In Through The Out Door.  Peter Grant made an announcement on September 11, 1980 that Led Zeppelin were going to commence their North American tour on October 17, 1980 in Montreal Canada with the tour concluding in Chicago Illinois on November 15, 1980.

The above two page press release is considered to be the last issued while Led Zeppelin existed as a band.  The press release listed the concert dates and venues Led Zeppelin were preparing to perform for Led Zeppelin The 1980’s Part 1.  The next press release regarding Led Zeppelin issued by Swan Song records was on December 4, 1980 announcing Led Zeppelin’s disbandment.
